The project benefits older people from cash transfers, conditional grants and cash-for-work schemes which include activities and loans to run a small business such as shoe making or street stalls.

Providing beneficiaries interest-free loans to set up micro-enterprises Cash-for-work and accessible employment centers for older Haitians Securing incomes for older people by supporting older people's associations to start up work programs

Additional information

HelpAge also works to support older people who still living in camps after the earthquake by implementing a resettlement program that provides an allocation for rent and cash grants for education and livelihood activities for older Haitian resettled by community workers for up to nine months.
