HAITI EARTHQUAKE - JANUARY 12, 2010
On January 12, 2010, a catastrophic 7.0 magnitude earthquake struck Haiti. With an epicenter less than 20 miles from Port-au-Prince, Haiti's densely populated capital and the country's political and economic center, the damage sustained was devastating.

- Over 230,000 deaths
- Over 1.3 million people displaced
- 105,000 houses destroyed
- 4,758 schools damaged or destroyed
