Relief International's objectives in Haiti are to: 1) Reduce the morbidity and mortality of earthquake-affected populations through improved access to health care and increased availability of water and sanitation services; 2) Provide housing to displaced Haitians using a highly adaptable, energy and resource efficient, disaster-proof, cost-effective, and culturally appropriate housing design; 3) Provide children and youth with educational and psychosocial support through the creation of child-friendly spaces; 4) Improve the welfare of women and girls in Haiti and increase community capacity that will provide sustainable services in protection and women's development; and 5) Improve the access of IDPs to shelter, protection and humanitarian resources through assessment and advocacy.
