2 projects by Mercy Corps

Mercy Corps was on the ground just two days after the earthquake. Since then, we have provided 1.1 million people with emergency food, clean water and shelter materials, as well as post-disaster assistance including temporary jobs, trauma support for children and economic recovery initiatives.
Two years after the earthquake, we are developing programs to build strong communities for the long term. We recognize that in Haiti, immediate needs for food, water and shelter will never end unless we address their root causes. Mercy Corps is implementing innovative economic development programs to help lift people out of poverty, and establishing programs focusing on youth, agriculture and the environment.
Mercy Corps works in Port-au-Prince, the rural Central Plateau and Lower Artibonite Valley.
