Catholic Relief Services (CRS)

Catholic Relief Services (CRS) has developed a comprehensive strategy to help those most affected by the disaster rebuild their lives and communities. The CRS strategy is based on an overall response estimated at more than $200 million USD over five-plus years, and it is rooted in the guiding principles of Catholic Social Teaching. CRS and partners adhere to principles of the dignity of the human person, subsidiarity, solidarity, and good stewardship through approaches that promote full transparency and accountability. Key elements of this approach include a long-term commitment; a flexible approach; a holistic response that affirms integral human development and considers the whole person; and the good of all people culturally, economically, politically, socially and spiritually.
