1 project by AmeriCares in Haiti/Port-au-Prince

AmeriCares Emergency Response model is a two-pronged approach: 1.) Delivering and distributing medicines and medical supplies to health care organizations and professionals as well as U.S.-based volunteer medical teams. 2.) Meeting the needs of partner organizations affected by the disaster and implementing post-emergency programs focused on health care and rebuilding the country’s health care system. In the aftermath of the Haiti earthquake, AmeriCares is restoring health services including clinical care for the control of chronic diseases, diarrheal diseases and infectious diseases such as cholera and malaria; protecting adolescent girls; and supporting training and education for health workers. AmeriCares is also continuing regular deliveries of medical aid to health facilities.
